Kapakapanui Hut Guide

- Facilities: Kapakapanui Hut is located at about 856 m in Tararua Forest Park, managed by DOC and originally built in 1966–67 by the Kapiti branch of the NZ Deerstalkers’ Association in memory of Bill Sinclair. It sleeps six and offers a wood‑heater (currently out of service), basic mattresses, and untreated tap water. A steep 2.5–3 hour tramp from Ngatiawa Road leads through mossy beech forest to this peaceful clearing.
