Waihohonu Hut Guide

- Facilities: Waihohonu Hut is located at about 1, 150 m on the Tongariro Northern Circuit, offering a warm refuge with cooking, heating and basic water and toilet facilities. Operated by DOC, it sleeps 28 in bunks and is staffed during summer. Built in 2010 to replace earlier versions, it sits amid volcanic tussock and beech forest, a short 15 km hike from Whakapapa Village.
