Tahupo Hut Guide

- Facilities: Tahupo Hut rests at about 439 m on a bush-clad ridge in the Waitōtara Conservation Area, offering six bunks warmed by a wood stove and simple comforts like mattresses and untreated tap water (boil before use). Managed by the Department of Conservation, it replaced an older shelter and lies along the ridge route between the Waitōtara River and Omaru Stream, accessible via the Trains Track.
