Avalanche Peak (India) Climbing Notes

This was climbed by IIT-Bombay Mountaineering Club team in May/June 1984. Summited on June 3, 1984 by Sandeep Shah (Leader of the 7-member team) along with Subodh Mhaisalkar and Narayan Singh Rana (High Altitude Porter). This was the first Indian climb (and second overall, the first one being 1952 by a British team).
