Tyssevassbu is located in the west Hardangervidda at Hardingslepa between Øvre Tyssevatn and Holmevatn. The cabin was given to DNT Oslo and the surrounding area in 1975 by A/S Tyssefaldene and several other companies that were involved in the development of Tysso. Tyssevassbu has electricity, and is one of the few self-service cabins with electricity. Tyssevassbu is located in an exciting and wild landscape that makes the trip to the cabin a great experience. A room in the main cabin is locked for use by employees of A/S Tyssefaldene.
