Reinheim, located in Stroplsjødalen, is the third tourist cabin that DNT operates on Dovrefjell. The first cabin was built in 1888, taken over by DNT in 1922, and operated until Snøheim was built in 1952. Snøheim was transferred to the Norwegian Armed Forces in 1959, and the area between Hjerkinn and old Reinheim was then used as a military shooting range.
