LOCATION: Mårbu tourist cabin is idyllically located, on Skartåkervollen along Søre Nordmannsslepa, at the north end of Lake Mår - right on the border of Hardangervidda National Park. Around the cabin itself you will find friendly, gently rolling terrain, and further away high gullies and valleys with peaks up to 1400 meters in altitude. In the summer it is possible to take a boat from Synken over Mår all the way to the cabin, or you can walk in. The cabin is a natural stopover during a cabin-to-cabin trip on the Hardangervidda, but the area also invites you to great day trips and is well suited for families with children who want to stay for several days. The cabin serves a three-course dinner every day when it is staffed.
