- Facilities: Creswicke Flat Hut occupies beside the Landsborough River in South Westland at about 268 m elevation. Rebuilt in 2016 thanks to a bequest from Christchurch hunter Barry “Bazza” Smith, it offers four bunks, a wood‑heater and basic comforts in a remote, untracked wilderness. Managed by DOC, it’s a handy refuge for trampers, paddlers or hunters navigating unbridged river crossings in the valley.
