The crimson painted shelter made of metal serves ski mountaineers on their way to the Wetterhorn and Rosenhorn area; it is closed in summer. The simple shelter is the winter alternative to the summer cabin on Tossengrat. Constructed on stilts on the verge of a talus, the small shelter without electric light and heating is nestled against the rocks on the summer access trail from Rosenlaui to Dossenhütte.
