Die Hütte verfügt über einen Holzofen und die Beleuchtung erfolgt über Sonnenkollektoren. Kleine Selbstversorgerhütte im hintersten Val Pontirone, zwischen der Torrone-Gruppe und dem Piz di Strega. Da sie auf einer Felsplatte steht, die zugleich als Fussboden dient, heisst sie vor Ort auch «cascina dra piota» (piota = Felsplatte). Die 2011 renovierte und eröffnete, unbewirtschaftete Hütte verfügt über 8 Betten. Es besteht die Möglichkeit, auf einem Gasherd zu kochen
