MWT closed from trail head in Sierra Madre to Manzanita Ridge. Open from Manzanita Ridge to Mt Wilson. Access Manzanita Ridge from Chantry Flat via Winter Creek Trail. No access from Sierra Madre.

Parking lot is small. May need to park on the road. Relatively easy until Sturtevant camp (not falls) after the camp it's a pretty tough climb all the way. Plenty of shade.
