South of Dents du Midi there is a well-known col leading from Champéry in Val d'Illiez to the region around Salanfe and Les Marécottes. That is where the simple stone-built summer cabin is located, in the centre of the secluded Vallon de Susanfe, at the foot of Haute-Cime. It is a stopover on the multi-day alpine round trip hikes around Dents du Midi in the area bordering with France: https://www.dentsdumidi.ch/en/ / http://www.tour-dentsblanches.com and http://www.tourduruan.com. Caution is advised when accessing the cabin across Pas d'Encel (often moist rock, fixed steel cable).
