Slæom was built in 1987 as a connecting link on the trip from Sprongdalshytta to Skridulaupbu. It is beautifully located in Breheimen with Jostedalsbreen within easy reach. In recent years, more and more people have taken the trip from Sota Sæter and inland to Slæom for an overnight stay in the heart of Breheimen, and back to Sota Sæter via Mysubytta. The trip from Sota Sæter is estimated to take five hours following the T-marked path. The trip is highly recommended as you enter a very special mountain area here.
