Skarsvassbu – Climbing, Hiking & Mountaineering information

Farthest south on the grid that stretches from Hovden/Bjåen in the north to Dølemo in the south, is Skarsvassbu. The cabin is nestled among large fir trees between the two Skarsvatn lakes. There is a marked path to the cabin from the old municipal building just before the shop at Øvre Ramse. Otherwise, there is also easy access from both Gjøvdal and Dølemo. The cabin is locked with a DNT key during moose hunting, otherwise unlocked. There is a canoe for loan and a gapa hut outside the cabin for those who want to sleep outside. Dogs are not allowed.
