Nystøyl is beautifully situated in Austheiene on an old hill with magnificent views of Ljomsnuten (1268 m.) and the other peaks across to Setesdal. The cabin is located in Telemark, 2-3 hours walk from Torsdalsdammen. The walk to Nystøyl goes over Bergeheii (1022 m.) which offers great views. If you want to go here from Birtedalen you can go via Nutevasshytta. The stretch over Tjørndalsristene (1007 m.) on this route offers wide views in all directions.
