Sauvasshytta is located far east in Rana municipality, not too far from the border with Sweden. It is located along the E1, Grensesømmen and Nordlandsruta on the east side of the outlet of eastern Sauvatnet. It is DNT Rana and surrounding area's highest situated cabin and has three rooms with six beds and three places in the loft.
