It is located on the shore of Lake Verde and near the Col d'Abries, a pass that connects the Germanasca Valley to the French Queyras. Inaugurated in 1968, it was created from the renovation of a military ruin. It is named after Father Severino Bessone, promoter and co-founder of the CAI Valgermanasca section.
