It stands on the spur that forms the right orographic bank of the Piccolo Colluret canal, overlooking Lake Serrù. Built during World War II and used first by Italian and then German soldiers, it was inaugurated as a refuge in 1969. It enjoys a panoramic position overlooking the Orco Valley.
