  • Facilities: Rifugio Melano Giuseppe rests at 1, 060 m in Val Noce, Piedmont, beneath the famed Rocca Sbarua climbing crag. Managed by CAI Pinerolo and rebuilt in 2011 from the “Casa Canada” prefab used during the 2006 Winter Olympics, it offers about 25 bunks across two rooms (plus an accessible one). A short, family‑friendly walk from Dairin or Brun leads to this welcoming, well‑equipped alpine refuge.

Located at the base of Rocca Sbarua. At the foot of the famous rock climbing wall, the refuge is open year-round and can be reached with a short walk. The structure is now made of Canadian pine and hosted the Canadian delegation at the 2006 Turin Winter Olympics.
