- Facilities: Rifugio Balma sits at 1, 986 m in the Val Sangone within Parco Naturale Orsiera‑Rocciavrè. Born from a volunteer-led restoration of an old alpine pasture between 1977 and 1985 by the CAI Coazze section, it offers around 24 bunks and modern comforts like hot water, electricity and Wi‑Fi. Accessible via a 2‑hour hike from Molè, it serves as a scenic base for ascents and the Giro dell’Orsiera.

It stands on the ruins of the old mountain pasture in the Balma Valley, in a panoramic position. The refuge was inaugurated in 1985 and was born from the restoration of the old mountain pasture, carried out by volunteers from the Coazze section, who still manage it today.
