It is located in a splendid position, in the center of the Vallone delle Cornacchie, at the foot of the Corno Grande and Corno Piccolo. An important base for the normal routes and via ferratas that lead up to the Due Corni", the refuge has 26 beds. From the refuge, a 40-minute trail leads to the Calderone Glacier, the last remnant of ancient ice ages.
