Located on the crest of Monte Portella, close to Corno Grande and the main peaks of the massif. It can be reached in a 40-minute walk from Campo Imperatore, or from Prati di Tivo to the north, with a crossing of approximately 4 hours. Renovated in 2018, the refuge has a capacity of 24 beds and a winter shelter with 6 beds. Open in summer only.
