- Facilities: Rifugio Ellena Gianni‑Soria Edoardo is located at 1, 840 m in the Valle Gesso delle Alpi Marittime, managed by the CAI section of Cuneo. Opened in 1961 and refurbished in 1979 (with further upgrades in 2020), it honors alpinists Edoardo Soria and Gianni Ellena. The refuge offers around 50–65 bunks in shared rooms, hot showers, electricity, and a welcoming restaurant—ideal for families and bikers after a scenic 2‑hour trek from San Giacomo di Entracque.

Located at the base of Cima dei Gelas, at Pian del Praiet, in the upper Gesso Valley. The refuge was inaugurated in 1961 and dedicated to the Cuneo mountaineer Edoardo Soria; renovated in 1979, it was co-named after Gianni Ellena. It has about fifty beds.
