It is located on the shores of Lake Verde, in the basin between the peaks Giavoretto, Fontana Bianca, Lorchen and Sternai. With the construction of the artificial basin of Lake Verde, the first building was submerged and the current refuge, built higher up, was inaugurated in 1977.
