Refugio forestal monte Altis (Refugio Forestal Monte Altis) – Climbing, Hiking & Mountaineering information

Forest Refugio Monte Altis is a payment refuge located in the Valencian Community (Spain). Available services: drinking water, fireplace, electricity, shower, table and toilet. The building is based on the ruins of an ancient farmhouse in the recreational area of the Altis in the municipality of Villahermosa del Río, in the province of Castellón. Its implementation responds to the principle of harmonization with the conservation and protection of the natural environment. The program of needs has been developed practically everything in a plant, so that the building meets optimal accessibility conditions, placing secondary uses at different levels. The building consists of: Semi-basement plant with facilities and cistern room, ground floor with two bedrooms for 16 people each, male and female toilets, cooking with pantry, dining room of being and terrace, a bedroom with bedroom. The natural slope of the land has been taken advantage of to steady the building so that it is better integrated into the topography, to which the disposition of the inclined roofs contributes, which are broken and organized by giving character to the spaces they welcome. The building is slowly inserted into the landscape meaning at the same time as a reference of the human presence respectful of it.
