Moturau Hut Guide

- Facilities: Moturau Hut lies at about 185 m on the shore of Lake Manapōuri in Fiordland National Park. Operated by DOC as one of the Kepler Track’s Great Walk huts since its opening in 1986, it offers 40 bunks with mattresses, basic heating and cooking in season, and tap water (boil before use). Easily reached in a couple of hours from Rainbow Reach, it’s a tranquil lowland retreat with sweeping lake views.
