  • Facilities: Clinton Hut lies at about 183 m in the lush Clinton Valley, serving as the first overnight stop on the famed Milford Track. Operated by New Zealand’s Department of Conservation, this Great Walk hut offers 40 bunks with mattresses, a heated communal kitchen lit by solar power, flush toilets and tap water (boil before use). Built in 1997–98 to replace an earlier shelter, it’s a scenic 1–1.5 hour walk from Lake Te Anau.
