Rotondohütte is a base for various ski tours in the Gotthard area and long snowshoe tours. In the summer alpine climbing tours and col crossings towards Furka, Gotthardpass and Val Bedretto as well as the nearby climbing park for beginners and advanced climbers are the main attractions. The cabin is a popular target for families, not the least because it is possible to drive the car as far as Oberstafel (with a permit only).
