The hut has been completely renovated in 2020. It is only a one hour hike from All'Acqua up to the timber line and the last larches, where the cabin is located. It lies on the «Vier-Quellen-Weg» (four wells trail), the alpine hike from Gotthardpass to Nufenenpass high above the Bedretto valley. The climbing park close to the cabin is suitable for children, while more challenging routes in firm granite can be found on the face of Poncione di Ruino. The landscape around Lago Pigne or higher up towards the pathless Gerenpass is spectacular.
