The SAC cabin is located in the centre of Muttenalp surrounded by the majestic summits of Glarnerland. A hiking trail crosses Switzerland’s longest concrete dam (1054 m) which is also Europe’s highest-located (2500 m). The view stretches across Muttalp with its many lakes to Tödi and Clariden. The cabin lies on the trail across Kistenpass from Glarnerland to Surselva. The cable car of the power plant company from Linthal-Tierfehd to Kalktrittli is open to the public.
