A traditional SAC cabin, which is a stopover on high alpine tours in the Aar range or a turning point of a long, challenging hike from Grimsel Hospiz. The view from the cabin’s terrace across the debris-covered Unteraar- and Finsteraargletscher onto the east face of Finsteraarhorn is magnificent. The access trail along Grimselsee is on narrow paths blasted from the rock and through protected high moors covered with Swiss stone pines and flowery meadows.
