The Fusshornbiwak is located below the Dreistgletscher, east of the Fusshörner, at an altitude of 2788 metres. Built in 1996 by the Blatten-Belalp Guides Association, this ten-sleeps bivouac has a few new features for its visitors. Down blankets have replaced wool blankets, lamps are now powered by solar energy and the pantry offers drinks and food to buy. In addition, a key is now required to access the bivouac and the bivouac must be reserved online. The key can be collected from the Belalp Tourist Office in Blatten (027 921 60 40) on presentation of the reservation confirmation. Bivouac manager: Tom Salzmann (079 270 34 27).
