Capanna del Forno CAS – Climbing, Hiking & Mountaineering information

Jagged mountains made of perfect granite lend themselves to rock climbing and fun in the climbing park. Mountain and alpine hikers stay here on their way to other cabins, and in winter ski mountaineers climb uncountable summits. Starting in the forests around Maloja, visitors turn south across fields of alpine roses above the charming Lägh da Cavloc to the glacier foreland and up a steep access to the Fornohut: an interesting trail with a view of the elongated Fornogletscher.
