It is located near the Sella d'Aip, close to the Austrian border. The saddle is located in a natural amphitheater surrounded by the Aip clay, the Rio Secco, and Mount Cavallo. The bivouac, dedicated to the memory of the mountaineer of the same name from Pontebba, has eight beds. Completely renovated in 2019, the new bivouac replaces the one built in 1979.
