It stands on the scree slope of Col d'Estelette, between the Aiguilles des Glacieres and the Aiguilles d'Estelette. Designed and positioned by Adolfo Hess, one of the founding members of the CAAI, in 1925. It was renovated in 2016 and can accommodate no more than 4 people.
