- Facilities: Rifugio Garelli Piero stands at 1, 970 m on a rocky spur in the Parco Naturale del Marguareis, offering a warm refuge with modern comforts and a welcoming restaurant. Managed by CAI Mondovì and run by the Colombo family since 1980, it sleeps about 90 guests in summer (12 in winter). Born in 1950, rebuilt after a 1987 fire, it remains a storied waypoint on the GTA and Via Alpina.

Located in Pian del Lupo, overlooking the Marguareis massif. The first version of the refuge dates back to 1950; after numerous renovations and expansions, its current structure, with over 90 beds, was achieved in 1991. The management, which is very attentive to environmental issues, is family-run.
