It is located near the source of the Ellero River, at the foot of Punta Havis de Giorgio and Cima delle Saline. The Mondovì refuge was inaugurated in 1929 and later dedicated to the memory of Havis De Giorgio, a mountaineer from Mondovì. It was completely renovated in 2008.
