Oriondé-Duca degli Abruzzi hut is located at 2810m at the feet of Matterhorn. It’s the perfect destination for trekkers, who want to enjoy a typical Aosta Valley lunch or live the unforgettable experience to sleep in a magic place surrounded by beautiful mountains, mountain goats and shooting stars. Moreover our hut it is a good starting point of Matterhorn climb. The refuge Oriondé Duca degli Abruzzi was built and opened in 1929 by Aimé Maquignaz, one of the ancestor of Maquignaz family then rebuilt on 2012. Open 1 July to 30 September.
