It is located near the glacial saddle of the Cevedale Pass. In 1922, the Milan Section decided, thanks to the generous contribution of the Casati family, to build a refuge, which opened in 1923 and was dedicated to Gianni Casati. In 1985, the refuge was completely and modernly renovated.
