Located near Montozzo Lake, on the southern edge of the Ortles-Cevedale massif. It is located along trail no. 2, the Alta Via Camuna," on the stretch connecting Ponte di Legno and the Gavia Pass. During the First World War, barracks and trenches were built around the refuge to protect the soldiers, which have now been transformed into an open-air historical museum. The refuge has 24 total beds and 46 seats.
