Refugio de Cap de Llauset – Climbing, Hiking & Mountaineering information

Cap de Llauset refuge is a payment refuge located in Aragon (Spain). The Cap de Llauset refuge, is part of the shelter network of the Aragonese Federation of Montañismo, and has been built with the funds of the Provincial Diputación de Huesca, the City of Montanuy, and the FAM itself. The shelter began to be built in 2010, and since the summer of 2016 it opens with 30 places located in one of the two planned modules, already completed, with all the necessary services for its operation. This shelter will combine content to the idea of mountain service, guaranteeing a safe and reference point in the mountain and rescue groups, a clean point that concentrates and purifies the spilled and waste, or a data taking in meteorological stations, especially in a massif that is found with significant deficits of facilities. The Cap de Llauset refuge is located in full GR11 also giving coverage, service and security to the many mountaineers who carry out this international interest route. The environment of the Cap de Llauset refuge offers many activities related to the world of mountaineering, and its enclave is strategic in the realization of these, offering this refuge a reference installation either as a base from which to start or finish the activity, either to carry out training courses, or as a information point, within a protected environment integrated in the Natural Posts-Maladeta Park.
