Refugi Coma de Vaca – Climbing, Hiking & Mountaineering information

This house was built by the FECSA hydroelectric company. The shelter is also part of the journey of the 3 shelters and the Mágic Mountains route.XX in order to accommodate the workers who carried out a study on the possible viability of a reservoir in the plane of the mares. Refugi Coma de Vaca is a payment refuge located in Catalonia (Spain). The project was not carried out and FECSA gave its use to FEEC. Available services: blankets, food and drinks, heating, internet, shower and toilet. Today Coma de Vaca is a modern and cozy shelter, located in a bucolic valley surrounded by Cumbres, where the fresh and cow coma rivers converge. The current Coma de Vaca shelter, opened in September 1999, has its origins in a small stone house that was where the current building is. Pass point of one of the variants of GR 11 (GR 11.7), the excursion to the shelter through the fresher throats or by the path of engineers from Núria is already an unforgettable experience.
