Olivine Hut Guide

- Facilities: Olivine Hut is found in the Hollyford Valley on the fringe of Fiordland and Mount Aspiring National Parks. Managed by DOC, this six‑bunk shelter was relocated and rebuilt in 2024–25 by the Pyke River Preservation Society, retaining only its original subfloor. At modest elevation, it offers basic comforts—warmth, mattresses, non‑flush toilets and untreated tap water—ideal for trampers on the Pyke–Big Bay route.
