Built in 2018 as part of the Paparoa Track Great Walk, this DOC‑managed refuge sleeps 20 in two bunkrooms warmed by a wood burner and insulated with double glazing. A summer ranger may assist with bookings and weather updates. Water is cold and must be boiled.
