  • Facilities: Casey Hut is located on a terrace above the Poulter River in Arthur’s Pass National Park, offering a warm refuge with heating, mattresses, and basic water and toilet facilities. Rebuilt in August 2020 after the original 1969 Lockwood hut burned in 2015, it sleeps 12 and benefits from double glazing, insulation and solar lighting. Managed by DOC, it’s reached via the scenic Casey Saddle–Binser Saddle route.
