Careys Hut Guide
- Place: Mavora Lakes Conservation Park
- Facilities: Careys Hut is located at the northern tip of North Mavora Lake in Mavora Lakes Conservation Park, managed by DOC. Built in the 1960s to replace an older structure, it offers six bunks, a wood‑fired stove and open fire, and basic long‑drop facilities. At around 616 m elevation, it’s reachable via a 10 km 4WD or bike track from the Mavora campsite (gate access by registration).
