Formerly used mainly for ascents of Wildhorn, today the spacious cabin above Iffigsee is a summer home base for families, clubs, school classes, and a stopover for hikes between Lenk, Lauenental and the Rawil region as well as on the «Tour du Wildhorn https://www.tourduwildhorn.ch » (around Wildhorn). In winter it is a meeting point for snowshoe hikers and ski mountaineers on the Haute Route Les Diablerets – Gemmi – Grimsel.
