The shelter looks like a spacecraft. On the inside it is cosy and functional. Most visitors climb the rock towers on Stockhorn in the Bietschhorn range right behind the cabin. It offers a beautiful view to the high alps of Valais from Weissmies to Weisshorn. The access is a challenging hike from Baltschiedertal, which also leads to Baltschiederklause.
