Montanha do Pico is a beautiful but demanding mountain, where weather and trail conditions can change rapidly at any time of year. Many accidents happen due to poor preparation, inadequate equipment, or underestimating the hike. Climbing with an experienced local guide is strongly recommended, both for safety and for a deeper understanding of the mountain and its unique volcanic landscape. Lost in Pico provides guided ascents led by certified local mountain guides with extensive experience on Pico Mountain.

Climbing Pico mountain was literally the highlight of our trip to the Azores! The view is spectacular and it was a challenging hike that lead us to fall asleep easy at night. Finding the right information to prepare was hard though, so we made climbingpicoazores.blogspot.com for future climbers. Don't miss Pico mountain when you are on the Azores!
