Mount Owen (Tasmania) Climbing Notes

Jameson Fegan from AUSTRALIA writes:

There is an area to park your vehicle just off the main road around 200m past the Horse Tails falls lookout on the right hand side of the road.

Whilst the hike isn't to hard, a decent level of fitness is recommended due to the paths incline and the loose stones.

Warm clothing, especially during winter, is also recommended as the wind chill factor and elevation makes it quite cold.

Hiking shoes are of great benefit as the hike back down Mt. Owen does get a little steep and it is easy to slip on loose stones.
